Crystals and fasting

WITHIN the next few days Muslims in Malaysia and around the world will commence the month of Ramadan. This is a time of cleansing of body, mind and spirit. And so, in this article I would like to focus on some crystal strategies for the cleansing of our body, mind and spirit.

I have always found it amusing that, in the fasting month, consumption of food in the Muslim world actually increases. To me this seems to defeat the purpose of the cleansing of the body and mind. If we fast all day and feast all night our body does not know what we expect of it. As a result we loose the physical, and I would also suggest the spiritual, benefits of fasting. If we give in to anger and hurt others with our words – why are we fasting??

Allow me then, from a holistic viewpoint, to examine the benefits of fasting and the things we need to do to achieve the spiritual benefits from it.

Before we start, let us refer to fasting as a vision quest, a search for our inner-self or, simply, a purification of our mind and body. As with so many of the things we are rediscovering today, our forefathers adopted these strategies centuries before they were incorporated into religious practices.

Regrettably, fasting has become a big business and any time a spiritual practice takes on a business or profit motive, there is a danger that it will diminish in spiritual significance.

I find it interesting that people who do not normally observe any of their religious practices, become paranoid when it comes to observing the fast and, as soon as the fast is over, return to their pre-fast lifestyles.

Some people when they fast seem to feel that they should contribute less to their organisation or community. We should be even more diligent in our work than in any other month of the year. We should be more loving and understanding. We should guard against anger.

To achieve the benefits of fasting, even before we begin, we must complete our issues of forgiveness with others and ourselves.

Every day in my meditation I personally practice this forgiveness prayer:

“I bless this day and give thanks for my life. I forgive completely all people who have hurt me (3x). I ask all people I have hurt to please forgive me (3x). I apologise to myself for my wrongs to myself, and my wrongs to others (3x). I apologise for all my hurts or wrongs to all life forms (3x). With this release, freedom, peace, power and new life, I bless all creation in the entire universe and I fill the entire universe with my love. I love and bless the earth, all life, and all humanity. I love, bless, and respect, the visible and the unseen. I rejoice and give thanks for my new life, power, and health, and give complete blessing and love to all life, always!”

In doing so, I keep myself in a state of forgiveness to allow the highest good to manifest in my life. I promise you that if you do this every day and especially when you embark on a body and mind purification, you will experience a change in every part of your life beyond any experience you have had to date.

My non-Muslim friends can then share the fast with their Muslim friends as an act of personal spiritual awakening.

When we forgive others and ourselves every day, as well as release, each day, anything that is holding us back, it is impossible to hold grudges against anyone who may have caused us pain or hurt in the past.

Tibetan quartz crystal

This crystal has been used to promote contact with the ancient cultures of the East, bringing knowledge and information, concerning healing and spirituality, to the user. It has also been used to facilitate fasting and abstinence, while healing and meditation are also enhanced.

Wearing the Tibetan crystal produces energy conducive to channelling and induces total centering of the self.

The crystal tends to contain very powerful “OM” vibrations, prompting the inventive powers. The body can attune to this resonance and can radiate the energy and verity of the higher self.

When cleansed, this crystal emanates the total spectrum of colour and can be applied to all energy medians for stimulation and cleansing. It can be used in the healing of all centers.

Green opal

This crystal has been used to assist in rational fasting, understanding of healthy dietary habits, and has assisted in cleansing the body internally to promote rejuvenation. It can also be used to promote a relaxed state similar to meditation, to provide information for problem-solving during dream states and during day-dreaming. It assists us in maintaining full awareness of surroundings while stimulating comprehension and proper positive action. The energy instills knowledge that we are always in control of our lives. It has been used in the treatment of colds, flus and fevers and to strengthen the immune system.

Rose quartz

This crystal emits calming, cooling energy, which can work on all the chakras to gently remove negativity and reinstate the loving, gentle forces of self-love. It provides the message that there is no need for haste in any situation, bringing calmness and clarity to the emotions and restoring the mind to harmony after chaotic situations or times of crisis. It is the crystal of unconditional love.

Rose quartz is especially helpful at the locations of the heart and crown chakras. The energy is soft and silky, producing a gentleness from without and from within the user. It has been known as the “ stone of gentle love”, bringing peace and calm to relationships. It promotes receptivity to the beauty of art, music and the written word, enlivening imagination and representing young warm love.

It is used for spiritual attunement to the energy of (AGAPE) love.

It provides for balancing of yin-yang energy and can attune each chakra to provide the proper frequency of energy vibration.

It is effective in the treatment of conditions relating to the emotional body, balancing the love emotions of the four upper chakras – the heart, throat, brow and crown chakras. Rose quartz can act as a rejuvenating agent for both the physical body and emotions. It is an excellent energy for healing emotional wounds – most important during a vision quest or our Ramadan fast.

Rose quartz crystal combines the qualities of rose quartz with all the qualities of the quartz crystal –producing a truly wonderful, powerful loving energy. It also instills permanence to our loving nature. Placement of the crystal in our environment, using the energies in an elixir, and wearing and or carrying the crystal, all stimulate the true life force – love.

Rose quartz can be used to clear fluids in the cells of our body and to promote the release of impurities. It can be used to enable the opening of the heart centre, allowing for dissolution of stress and tension. Placed upon the heart chakra, it can diminish pain and can stimulate the proper functioning of the heart.

These three crystals, if used during our period of fasting, will help us meet the challenges of the fast physically, emotionally and spiritually. They will help us stay in a state of harmony with each other and minimize the outbursts of frustration that so often occur when our body is under the stress of purifying.

Rose quartz is easy to buy in Malaysia. The others are not as easily obtained, but readers will remember that we have talked about how clear rock quartz can be programmed to be any crystal we want it to be by cleansing it first, then holding it in our receiving hand (normally our left) and repeating “I will and declare that this crystal transmit the properties of Tibetan quartz to me.” When you want your rock crystal to resume its normal role, just cleanse it as we have previously described.

In closing, as we enter this time of personal purification I wish my Muslim readers “Selamat berpuasa” for the month of Ramadan. For my non-Muslim readers who choose to share the fast and purify themselves in body, mind and spirit, I wish you all the benefits that will bring to you your highest good. Start and end you day with the forgiveness prayer and the affirmation, “We are all one.” See your fast as more than a religious obligation. It is an opportunity for you to receive the most abundant blessings of the universe and the creator as you cleanse and balance you body, mind and spirit.

I recommend you program a tumbled clear quartz crystal to be a Tibetan quartz and keep it in a glass of water. Start and end your fast with this water each day. MALAYSIA AND VISION 2020

Following is a series of posting made on the Human resource Discussion Listings in Malaysia recently.

One of the reasons for the lack of understanding of the real significance of Vision 2020 is that it has lost its "Glitz" and it was initially interpreted as First World Infrastructure and this in turn fostered the Third World Mindset. I actually had a Political Think Tank Leader tell me that it could not make the front page anymore.

As a Corporate Healer - and this is something that is coming into vogue now I have a passionate belief that if every company in Malaysia made all decisions based on the nine principles of Vision 2020 we would have the most profitable sustainable companies in the world.

So Over the next few days I will try to share my thoughts on each of the nine challenges and the significance of them and the questions (I believe) we need to ask ourselves if we are brave enough- and having asked the questions take the hard decisions.

Hopefully I can show how alignment can be achieved easily regardless of where we are in our corporate development stage,

If we continue to say we are at a stage of development that does not allow alignment with vision 2020- we will never get there.

As long as we look for new "Front Page Stories" or supplements and glorifies ISO certification ( which is a System) as opposed to recognizing people we will stay stuck in the third world mindset where our people are afraid to say what has to be said.

As long as it takes the PM to highlight problems as opposed to CEO's taking responsibility for everything then we will stay in the past

Jack Welsh (of GE Fame recently said that any executive who was not committed to the highest standards of ethics and values had no place in his organisation regardless of whether they brought in the profits.

Perhaps I am ahead of the Game
Dr. Mahathir was very much ahead of the game when Vision 2020 was announced.
The Politicians and public Servants all took it to be about infrastructure
That is why after nearly 13 years we still lack our Service and Maintenance Culture.
It is this lack of Culture in these areas that impacts in a negative way on our productivity and profitability as a nation.
As I have said before - answering these questions and making them live in your organisation will not make page One or merit a supplement.
They will however ensure your organization is able to meet the challenges of AFTA,WTO and more.
They will give every Malaysian in your organisation regardless of race or Religion an equal opportunity to contribute to the development of ALL MALAYSIANS.

The question is do we - Nor the PM and DPM want Vision 2020 to be a reality.

These questions are questions we have to ask ourselves before we can ask our staff.

Change starts with acceptance that we have some challenges to overcome.

Acceptance is always the hardest but once we have accepted almost by magic solutions appear.

It is time we stopped denying and started accepting and solving

Otherwise we will continue to need the PM (whoever that may be) to get the Toilets cleaned in Bukit Bintang, The Baggage Handling at KLIA, The Internet at Jaring and TM Net and a host of other challenges overcome.

6 Disciplines of Leaping From Good to Great

1. The Have Level 5 Leadership (leadership)

"We were surprised, shocked really, to discover the type of leadership required for turning a good company into a great one. Compared to high-profile leaders with big personalities who make headlines and become celebrities, the good-to-great leaders seem to have come from Mars. Self-effacing, quiet, reserved, even shy - these leaders are a paradoxical blend of personal humility and professional will. They are more like Lincoln and Socrates than Patton or Caesar."

2. They First Ask Who...Then What (right people)

"We expected the good-to-great leaders would begin by setting a new vision and strategy. We found instead that they FIRST got the right people on the bus, the wrong people off the bus, and the right people in the right seats - and THEN they figured out where to drive it. The old adage "People are the most important asset" turns out to be wrong. People are NOT your most important asset. The right people are."

3. They Confront the Brutal Facts (Yet Never Lose Faith)

"Every good-to-great companies embraced what we call the Stockdale Paradox: You must maintain unwavering faith that you can and will prevail in the end, regardless of the difficulties, AND at the same time have the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be."

4. They Are Hedgehogs (focus)

There is a line among the fragments of the Greek poet Archilochus which says: 'The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing'. Scholars have differed about the correct interpretation of these dark words, which may mean no more than that the fox, for all his cunning, is defeated by the hedgehog's one defense. Hedgehogs see the world in terms of a single universal organizing principle. Foxes, on the other hand pursue many ends, often unrelated and even contradictory. Good-to-great leaders are hedgehogs.

5. They Inspire a Culture of Discipline (performance)

"All companies have a culture, some companies have discipline, but few companies have a CULTURE OF DISCIPLINE. When you have disciplined people, you don't need hierarchy. When you have disciplined thought, you don't need bureaucracy. When you have disciplined action, you don't need excessive controls. When you combine a culture of discipline with an ethic of entrepreneurship, you get the magical alchemy of great performance."

6. They are Technology Accelerators

Good-to-great companies THINK differently about the role of technology. They never use technology as a primary means of igniting transformation. Yet, paradoxically, they are pioneers in the application of carefully selected technologies. Technology by itself is never a primary, root cause of either greatness or decline.

This is number 7 in our series on Crystals. We are now ready to get to some real substance to help others close to us. The wonderful thing about Crystals is that they complement any form of healing. We are not Doctors and we are not replacing the role of the Allopathic Doctor. We are however helping to heal the energy of a person
We need to work with the right type of clear quartz crystal, a crystal that is neither too large nor too small. It must also be light enough so that you can manipulate it in your hand for periods of time that could exceed 30 minutes. You should be able to identify the C face of the crystal, the one that will easily change and rebalance the energy. A crystal that is slightly smaller than your fist is the ideal size.
A clear quartz crystal has a point, leading to which there are six faces, the extension of its six sides. Each triangular face leading to the point is different. One of these faces is longer than the others and it is this one that we call the C face. If you move this face parallel to the palm of your hand, you will feel a kind of pencil of light scratching the surface of your hand. This is the ray of energy that the crystal sends out, because it is the C face, which modulates its force.
Using a crystal to heal, we must focus first on ourselves. Now imagine some roots of light coming out from your feet and anchoring you firmly to the ground. Following that, imagine a dome of clear light or even an amethyst (violet) light above you and the person you are getting ready to help.
Now energise your hands (remember we did this in the 2nd article in this series) and feel the electromagnetic field by holding both hands parallel to the body of the person you are helping about 15 or 20 centimeters from their body. Ask them questions to find out the spots where the problems exist and make the most complete evaluation possible in order to determine which colour is indicated for the treatment.
Now hold your crystal in front of the patient's spiritual plexus (between the 3rd and 4th Chakras) Press the C face against them and put your other hand on their back to feel the crystal's ray when it passes through their body. That will take between 30 seconds and a minute and a half. Its effect is to open the energy field and their chakras.
Now place the C face of your crystal on the top of the their head - on the crown - and keep it there until you feel through your hand holding your crystal, that this centre is open. Then gently lift your crystal towards the sky, as if you were pulling their head upwards with an invisible wire. You may have the impression that the head is rising, that their back is becoming straighter and that the head has greater equilibrium on the shoulders.
Following this, give them a 'crystal bath'. This involves passing your crystal all round the inside of their luminous energy field, as if you were trying to stroke it. You should hold the C face of your crystal parallel to the person. Your crystal will draw away the positive ions and freeing the energy field of those that have accumulated there. You will harmonise and balance the energy field and even out those parts that are too deep or too shallow. You will also soften and smooth out those spots that were rough to the touch. This procedure will provide a general toning up of the energy field.
When you have finished, pass your crystal with your hand through some salted water for a minute or so, to clean away the positive ions (remember these are the ones that are NOT good for our health – it is Negative Ions like we feel near a waterfall that are good for us) that have accumulated from the energy field. Now wipe it well with a suitable cloth and focus on yourself a second time.
We ask the person we are helping to concentrate. When they concentrate at the same time as us, it is extremely beneficial for the rest of the procedure.
We focus on our self and then program our crystal with our intention for the person we are helping and visualise the colour we chose a little earlier. We can only programme a single colour at a time into our clear quartz crystal. Program your intention to help and to heal into your crystal together with the colour combined with a suitable intention (NIAT) for encouraging a return to good health or an improvement in their well-being
Hold your programmed crystal about 30 centimeters above their head, with the C face directed towards it, and help them to visualise the colour you have programmed visually into your crystal.
Lets look at an example using the colour blue.
Look at your friend and say to them:- Imagine the colour blue spreading through your head, filling the whole of your brain, running through your hair, down your neck, on your chest, in your eyes, your nose, your mouth, your throat, flowing over your shoulders, down your clavicles, into your lungs and your sides and down your arms as far as the tips of your fingers. Imagine the colour blue running down into your diaphragm, your stomach and your abdomen, impregnating every one of your organs, and flowing past your hips into your legs, your knees, your calves, your ankles and into your feet, filling the whole of your body right to the tip of your toes with a refreshing and soothing blue light.
As they visualise the colour permeating the whole of their body, take your crystal and work on the parts that you feel need the most help. Hold your crystal 30 or 40 centimeters from their body, with the C face directed towards them, then move it clockwise, like the rotation of the sun in the sky making a spiral of circles as you gradually work it closer to the body. As you approach them with your crystal, reduce the size of the circles until as you get very close, you sense a kind of little hook, as if the ray emitted by the crystal's C face was making a knot or being caught up. Now pull this little 'hook' with your crystal, until you reach the outside of their energy field, and start again.
When you have done this several times, check the affected spot with your other hand. When you feel you have obtained the desired effect in their field, tone up the area. To do this, move the crystal round in the outer field, a bit like you did when you carried out the crystal bath, but limit yourself just to this spot. Then work the same way inall the places, which you felt contained problems as you made your original evaluation.
When you have finished, put your crystal in salted water to purify it of its programming. Now all that remains is to close up the persons energy centres that we opened at the beginning of the crystal treatment.
Form a triangle with your two hands, linking your thumbs and index fingers. Position this triangle in front of the persons spiritual plexus, then move your hands up above their head and then back down in front of their body as far as the ground, all the time visualising that you are closing all the centres and thus resealing their energy body. It is good to visualise a neutral colour like green when you do this.
It is very important to close up these centres properly when you finish
Ask your friend to give you their impressions and describe the sensations they experienced during the treatment. You can also ask them about their feelings since the process was completed.
On an energy level this process is very powerful. It is recommended that you repeat it several times, with a few days' interval between each, in order to really implant into the energy body the vibrations required for their re-harmonization and return to good health.
As with all energy treatments, the effect can wear off over a period of time. The process will continue to work particularly well in the first two days afterwards. Sometimes we may think our condition is worsening, that discomfort or pain have increased, or that other worrying changes have taken place. Such reactions are normal when the body undergoes healing. Remember we are healing from the inside out, what has gone in has to come out. Sometimes we may experience pain and changes that are unpleasant. This process is not at all unusual and need not cause concern. If the pain continues see your Doctor as the process may uncover an area requiring medical attention that may have been hidden or covered up for a long time.

Traditional Native Healers believe that certain Crystal guide us in challenges facing us in our lives in current times.
